i am 15 and i have always wanted to be a homicide detective. i was just wondering what colleges or universities you would recommend please help ! (:

Hi Samantha,

     Any college or University that offers a degree in criminal justice and Police Administration is good. However to become a detective of any type you must first serve your time as a patrol officer. Most larger departments give a promotional exam for detective any you usually have to have at least 1 year on the job before being eligible to take the exam. Hope this helped somewhat.
