Question
Just wondering i have been interested in taking up criminal justice courses---- when i was younger i was charged with a joint venturer in an A&B case, but have not been involved with criminal charges since had a child and married---do u think that i would have a problem in the pursuit of this career BE HONEST( i can take it) .

Answer
Pat,

How old are you now? And how old were you when you were charged with the assault and battery? Also what came out of the charge, were you convicted? Was there great bodily harm done to the person? All these and other circumstances make a difference on weather it would disqualify you. As a rule 99% of Departments will make allowances for things done when one was young as we all make mistakes. Of course as long as it's not a major crime were talking about. Get back with me if you like with more information and I will try to give you a more informed answer.
