Question
my name is Vanessa Hernandez. I'm a senior class of 2010 in high school but my long life dream is to be part of the law enforcement ,and my question is if tiers any way to become a police officer without having a a criminal justice degree.for example like a police academy around my area that i could attend for training.

Answer
Vanessa:

No, you most certainly do NOT need a CJ degree.  Most departments only require you to meet age (usually but not always 21) requirements and have a high school diploma.  If you really want a degree, I'd also advise getting something other than a CJ degree.  It will be far more marketable in the long run.

Best of luck!

Jason
