Question
Hi sir,
I was thinking about joining the military as an military police and then joining a police dept.I am 25 yrs old and thinking bout joining for atleast 6 years I want to know when I come out would Ill be at a age I can still join the police dept. And also is that a good plan I'm thinking. Thank you so much for your time and also giving me your point of view.

Answer
Michael, I would think that at age 25, you would seek out a law enforcement career from the get-go without putting in military time.  Being an MP doesn't guarantee anything on your discharge and getting into law enforcement...It would help if you have a college degree...most cops hired today have one.  As to your question about age...I think most agencies have a 35 year max age so you should be already if you put in four years military time...if that is the way you want to go.
