Question
i got 2 questions about Police frist is  are Police Officers allowed to call you dear when they are on the job
or do they have to call you by your fist name?
and second question why do Police Officers copy what you say? like you may say something like some1s name and the officer will say the same thing but im just wondering why they copy you. thanks

Answer
as long as they are not calling you something derogatory, I would think calling someone Dear is ok. Some people just use that expression when they address people. In answer to your next question I would think by repeating what you say the officer may be just making sure that your both on the same page. In other words by repeating it the officer is giving you the opportunity to correct him or her in what your response was.
