Question
Hi, iam a 21 year old male living in Canada and i have been taking class's to be a officer. The other night me and my youger brother got into a fight, he decided to call the police they came and talked to us, wrote some things down. No charges or anything. Would i still be able to apply as a officer or would that be a crimal record or screw me over in the poly test? plz help?

Answer
Corbin,

As long as there were no charges filed I don't see a problem. As for the polygraph, they are looking for honesty. So if you answer every question with an honest answer there should not be a problem. They realize that everyone makes mistakes, especially as kids. Even though your 21, brothers do get into arguements. Just give honest answers to their questions. The incident may not even come up.
