Hi,
I'm a sophomore still in high school and we have a project in my career class and i want to be a homicide detective. I wanted to know how many hours do you do in a week? This is what i want to know so please help me!!!!!

How many hours does a Homicide Detective work a week? How many hours of training to be a cop do we do in a week? Not sure what your question is but I will give you a few answers and maybe one of them will be it.

A Homicide Detective works a regular 40 hour week, usally during the day or sometimes afternoon. They get a lot of overtime and "callout" time when they are called to respond to a homicide scene.

As for becoming a police officer, here in Florida (and most states) you attend the academy 8 hours a day 5 days a week.  Ours is 772 hours long (about 6 months).

I have been training police officers since 1993 and have trained them in all aspects of law enforcement, including firearms, Driving and legal subjects including patrol techniques and others and training all over the world.
