Question
First of all i just want to thank you Mr. Rogers for answering my previous question and concerns. My question for you this time around is, what exactly are the steps that i must follow in order to become a State Trooper? I will really appreciate a detailed answer and a better understanding of the job. thank you

Answer
Michael, there are no specific steps to be taken to become a trooper.  One must keep free of criminal involvement, including drugs, keep himself free of serious indebtedness, and get a good basic education (college degree).  The degree could be in a number of fields, i.e., criminal justice, administration of justice, or ???, mine was in psychology.  A very good step to take would be to enroll in the explorer program where you get an idea of what specifically in involved in police work.  That's about it.
