Question
Hello, I am currently certified through the Federal LE Training Center (FLETC)and would like to know how to contact the Maryland Police Training Commission (MPTC) to see how to get certified through them, if possible. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have Googled every phrase I could think of and began to wonder if this MPTC even existed. Thank you very much.

Answer
Thomas:

Yes, it exists, and it's a common mistake most folks make..because technically, even though no one calls it this, it's the "Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission".  Unless you spell out MPTC, or use the entire phrase, it will be hard to find.

 Here's the weblink:

If you are going to ask what I think you are going to ask, the answer is that FLETC is generally recognized by MPTC, but you'll need 'comparative compliance' to be fully certified in Maryland.

Best regards,

Jason
