Question
To be a homicide inverstigator, can you have a previous record?  The offenses are all misdemeanors, and all but one were as a minor.  The last as an adult for a charge for public nuisance.  Please respond, just curious!Thank you!!

Answer
Katie,

In order to be any type of investigator one must get hired and serve their time as a Patrol Officer. In order to be hired as a Police Officer you cannot have been convicted of a felony. As for misdemeanors, your not automatically disqualified, however it depends on the Departments polices and the circumstances surrounding the incident. Hope this helped somewhat.

Good Luck

Jim
