Question
Hello!

I am a 20 year old Criminal Justice major at university.  For a paper we are writing, we are supposed to contact someone in corrections in order to find out how corrections has changed in the last 20 years, and what has brought about these changes.  I contacted someone at our local police department, but he only gave me limited information.  I wonder if you might be able to give me more information on this subject.  Thanks so much!

Answer
Hi Sarah!

I've never been in the correctional field, I'm afraid.  However I can give you some general information (VERY general) if that will work.  Just let me know.  You might try contacting someone at one of the regional jails or prisons in your area (the local police will be able to put you in touch with someone there)who could likely give you a better idea from their point of view.  If that doesn't work by all means drop me a line and I'll try to help the best I can.

Jason
