Question
I would like to spen my life bringing sex offenders to justice. I am a long way from knowing where to start. First, what are some of the largest sex rimes units in the U.S. ? Also, I know that I would need years of experience as a uniformed officer first, but what are the other qualifications would I need. And what what I need to go to college for? I really need help because I cant find any information anywhwere.

Please help,
Jake

Answer
Jake:

The FBI has a good unit from what I'm told.  Others are on the larger agencies such as NYPD and LAPD.   As you know, you'll have to spend several years in uniform before getting to that point.   Taking classes now or working on a degree in Psychology or something along those lines will help towards that goal.  You don't neccessarily need a degree to get hired but starting now isn't a bad idea.
