Question
I Applied for a Deputy Trainee and I have been disqualified and on the review that I got the Sgt. said that there were 4 reason that disqualified me.. ( I answered those questions @ the polygraph exam, before been hooked up to the machine, I was trying to be THE MOST HONEST PERSON 1. Back in the time, 9 years ago,I was out of the country ( while I was a Legal resident) for more than a year, and when I returned to USA, the Imigration officer asked me how long I was out of the country, I said 8 months ( so I lied to a somebody with authority).
2. 6 Year ago, while I was living in another COUNTRY, I made a paper saying that I broke a leg, to get medical leave for 6 months, while I came to US, I did that in order to keep my Job back in the other country, because I wasn't living in US ( I benn in US for 6 Years) ( so I Falsify).
3.Back in 2005 I had Illegal TV cable
4. I'm currently have a Lien against my Condo..I request my Mortgage company to paid it and then I will paid it back monthly, they haven't answer back to me
The sgt told me to apply next year..
here is my question..
that mean next year there will be hiring me ? do all those issues has expirations dates?
I currently have A.S in criminal Justice, I never Used Drugs, never been arrested and in any kind of trouble, I never Smoke, no tattoos'.I'm a stable person ( 6 years same Full time , 3 years same part time job) 5 years same GF....
Do I have any chance to be hiring in that Agency, or any other agency, or I will be disqualify for that..I'm in Florida and I tried to go to the academy but is $3000 and I have to quit my FT, I Cant afford that.. Recommendations will be appreciated

Hi Ceasar,

Your pattern shows an ability to be dishonest. In law enforcement we have to have that above all. Your patterns show that when needed you will lie. What if your caught in a tough time when on the job as a Leo, and you have to lie to get out of trouble?

I would doubt very seriously you would be able to get hired anywhere in Fl. Just trying to be honest, sorry.

I am a 30+ year veteran police officer, I am currently the Police Academy Commander of an Academy in North FLorida. I have been training police officers since 1993 and have trained them in all aspects of law enforcement, including firearms, Driving and legal subjects including patrol techniques and others and training all over the world. I have trained over 5000 officers worldwide in the last 16 years of training.

I am a published author in Accident Investigation from the University of North Florida, Institute of Police Technology and Management. Also have written and published on the Internet, "So You Want to be a Cop (Police Officer) in Florida?" you can Google it..
