Careers: Police/Length of Criminal Tresspass Warning

Question
If someone came on my property and was given a criminal trespass warning, how long is that good for? A month? A Year?  I'm in Texas.  Can that warning be taken back if I allow that person to come back on my property and does it have to be done in writing or by police?

Answer
Kristopher,

I can not give you an answer to this question because I do not know Texas law. Each State has different laws on the books regarding every type of offense. An example is it is illegal to talk on a cell phone while driving in NJ, unless you are using a hands free device, but in Pa., the next State over it is legal.

Your best bet would be to call your local Police Department and ask them the exact same question, they will be able to give you an answer.

Good Luck
