Question
My question is how hard it will be to get hired as a law enforcement officer with 2 arrests, both were for assault and both of which have been expunged, one in 1995 and the other in 2000. I was not found guilty so I called the Tn.Bureau of Investigation to make sure all charges were cleared and they stated they were. Thank you in advance for your help and advice.

Answer
Jody,

It's hard to say for sure. I would think they would look at each incident and make a determination from there. Being charged with an assault does not automatically make you intelligible for hire. It all depends on the Department your applying with and their hiring requirements or restrictions.
