hello iam 20 years old a few weeks from my 21 birthday. and i want to be a us marhsall one day. i make some mistakes in my life at a young age but never with the law just simple stuff and i feel i could of been higher in life if i would of made the right choices in life. the question i want to ask you is that do i have to be a cop before a us marshall and can i just jump right in to it. iam going to college to get my aa then iam going to transfer and to a university and get my bachalor degree. i want to becoem a usmarshall. a few years bad me and my girlfriend had a agrumeent and the police was called from the neigherbers me and my wife just went into holding cells and was let off the next day the judge dismissed the case nothing happened. will that keep me from being a usmarshall. and i got a few tickets when i was a teen in highschool. a wreak a while ago when i was young. i know to be a us marhsall you have to be in good driveing record. will that keep me back.

Nothing you mentioned should prevent you from becoming a US Deputy Marshall. But I would like to point out that you need to be very careful about how you write and type things, you will be tested on this when applying to the Marshall's service. Capitalization and punctuation are very important when communicating to anyone on the net or via e-mail, even in written reports you will complete as part of being a Marshal.

I am a 30+ year veteran police officer, I am currently the Police Academy Commander of an Academy in North FLorida. I have been training police officers since 1993 and have trained them in all aspects of law enforcement, including firearms, Driving and legal subjects including patrol techniques and others and training all over the world. I have trained over 5000 officers worldwide in the last 16 years of training.
