Question
I am a 28 year old male living in Kentucky. I was charged with a felony 6 years ago but i was not convicted, had quiet a few convictions for marijuana when i was in my teens. Have been straight and clean for 6 years. Would it be possible for me to become a police officer?

Answer
Jonathan:

I'm afraid you are going to have a difficult time getting hired.   With the charge (even though it was dropped) as well as the 'multiple' convictions for marijuana, likely as not, you'll not be able to pass the 'morals' clause that many states have.   I'm not going to say your quest is impossible....but it would be a long, long, uphill climb for you with no good chance of sucess.    Sorry but that's just the way it is.
