Careers: Police/Relocation

I actually reside in Puerto Rico and study Criminal Justice, my plans are to move to North Florida, my question is will I have problems to get through selection process since all my knowledge of this field is from another jurisdiction? Is there a book where I can study about state/ federal laws?

Nope, it happens all the time, people change states and just have to learn the 'new' laws of that state.  You might try your local library, which will save you money, look under 'criminal law'.  Florida likely has an online site as well, and a quick search found this one:

Don't worry too much about federal law, as a local police officer you won't be too concerned with that.

Good luck!
