Question
I am 19 in college trying to get into the cadet program then go into the police academy but I used to smoke weed ALOT but I never have had my med card. But I stopped smoking for 3 months and I take my written test in 3 months will I be disqualified for smoking or can I keep smoking or what should I do

Answer
Stuart:

Give up the drug completely.  Weed, as you referred to it, can be detected in the blood stream for a long time after ingestion.  Also, it's a poor start to a law enforcement career to be using any form of illicit substance(s).  It can completely ruin your career.

Good luck with your career choice.
