Question
I recently watched "Animal Cops" on TV.Why are Animal
Control Personell allowed to be sworn officers let alone carry firearms in this highly charged animal rights hysteria
taking over this country? Aren't you afraid of some animal
rights "wacko" joining and getting a gun or furthering their own political agenda? My father was a sheriffs deputy and was very much against animal control people being sworn law enforcement officers.Game wardens yes animal control never

Orv, I couldn't agree more with you.  I am not aware of what jurisdictions permit animal control people to carry firearms, but I think it is a mistake.  I think the argument that animal control people face angry pet owners doesn't wash.  If things start to get out of control, they can always call for sheriff's deputies or police to back them up.
