Question
hello,
i have a question that i've been trying to get answerd for some time now.. what can or can't i do while driving on personal property? examples are: racing, burning out, doing donuts, or just plain messing around? i'm aware that there can be a noise disturbance and such, but would you be aloud to do so with no noise (like in the rain). The property that i own is on a bussiness property that supposedly has a right to make noise 24/7 because it is industrial, does that make a difference in the noise disturbance from my vehicle? I'd appreciate if you'd take the time to answer my question because i have been trying to find this out for awhile now, thanks

Answer
Sam,

There are laws pertaining to vehicle use on private property in Ohio, one thing you can be written a ticket for is reckless operation on private poroperty which can encompass many things including burning your tires, speeding ect. Also there may be local laws or ordinances where you live about operatiog a motor vehicle on private property. You can check with you local PD, if there are none then they would go by state law. If you type in your states name ex. ohio traffic laws, then you can find those laws online. I believe it's http://onlinedocs.andersonpublishing.com

Remember the zoning laws are different then criminal laws, so even though your property is zoned industrial they still may be able to cite you for a noise violation.  Hope this helped somewhat.
