Question
I would like to know the best way to defend myself in leaving the scene of an acciodent. I did this while I was in Mass. I got very scared and stopped a little up the raod. Is there jail time involved? I am so scared. I do realize that it was a dumb thing to do, but I was alone in the car and completely scared...what can I do?

Answer
Shannon,
I'm not an attorney so mI can't really advise you on how to defend yourself. Nor can I say if there could be jail time in Mass. I can tell you that in Ohio you can be sent to jail. If I were you I would seek the advise of an attorney. Also I have always found that honesty is the best way to handle things. Sorry I coulkdn't be of more help.
