Question
The field of training canines for police work seems fascinating to me.  Is it possible to engage in your line of work and make a decent living as a civilian,  or is it a requirement to first become a police officer?  Thanks.

Answer
Matt, as a Nationally certified trainer I would recommend a career in police work first. Yet, I do know of some excellent instuctors who have produced quality products. Keeping this in mind, yes you coould become a decent trainer without the police route, but you must find the right trainer.

Good Luck
