Question
Dick what do you thing are thge greatest dilemmas facing police officers today

Answer
Rick, things are actually getting better...better equipment, better training, and better recognition.  The test, the real test for cops was during the sixties and seventies when virtually every accepted concept relative to policing was tested.  Now, people generally accept the fact that a reasonably functioning law enforcement community is essential.  The "real" dilemma is finding dedicated officers to fill the ranks.

I`ve spent twenty-five years in law enforcement as a state trooper and deputy sheriff. Retired as a lead homicide investigator. My interest is in answering questions dealing with ethical and moral dilemmas facing officers in the field.
