hello my name is David and i am 18 years old.I live in Pineville, Kentucky and here recently i have taken up the interest in becoming a police officer and later a SWAT team member. i was wondering what exactly do i need to do to help reach this goal? And do you know any good police academies in Kentucky?

 Check with the local agencies near you and see what their entrance requirements are.  They should be easy to find using a simple search.  Different agencies have different standards, and in Ky you may not be able to even apply until you reach 21 years of age.

 Those agencies will also list which academies they send the prospective officers to.
