Question
I am 26 years old and have a felony tresspassing charge on my record.  I started school for nursing however can't be hired in the field due to the felony charge.  I am looking at colleges again because I do have children that I need to support but what field can I study where an employer isn't going to dismiss my application for the charge?  I was considering pre-law and my mom laughed. Is it hopeless?

Answer
Beth,

I really can't answer as far as Pre Law being a field where a felony charge would hurt you. However my first question was there a conviction? And if not why? My second comment is you can petition the court to have your record expunged. You will need an attorney to do that. Hope I helped in some way. Feel free to ask if you have other questions.
