Question
Hello, quick question, are there any advantages to having a law degree when applying for a job in law enforcement?

Answer
Tom,

I can't see where it would hurt your chances to get hired. And it sure would make your chances better down the road for a Chief's job. Just be sure that you explain to them that you really want to get inti police work. The reason I'm saying this is they will be putting a lot of time and money into training you and I'm sure it may cross their minds that you may leave soon to pursue a career in Law. Hope this helped somewhat.
