Question
why do most police officers or deputys choose to be a cop or officer?

Answer
Ashley, there are very few jobs where a person can feel that their actions have actually helped someone through a problem or a crisis.  A police officer is daily exposed to the many sad sides of life...they can impact these situations with sensitivity and kindness and sometimes provide answers to people who found nothing but exclusion from others.  As with any occupation, there are exceptions and these bad cops or insensitive cops are not the norm.  I am happy to say that the many that I haved worked with fit the first category.  Hope this helps.
