i was fired as a county sherriff in 1992 i recently thought about applying to a cities police department. should list that i was fired

If I was you, I would list it, because in the background investigation the agency you are applying for will find out anyway. If you don't list it, it's like lying.

Lots of people get fired for small insignificant things that really do not hamper getting another job in law enforcement.

I also serve as an Adjunct Instructor for Park University, where I teach in the Criminal Justice Administration Degree Program.I am currently Director of Security for a major hospital system in South Carolina.
