Question
im in america. i hope you can answer my question.  i got a speeding ticket today 1/7/2006 but the police officer put down that i got the ticket on 1/8/2006.  what can i do to get out of the ticket.

Answer
Hi,

Its a question of honesty. If you were genuinely speeding then you should face up to the consequences and pay for the ticket. If you dispute the ticket and elect to go to court then it will cost you more. The officer has merely put the wrong day on the ticket, and if he can prove it was a genuine mistake then you will loose.
