"Will changing the drinking age reduce the amount of young teenagers drinking alcohol?"  

Answer
Probably not.

Teenagers will still want to experiment, be it with alcohol, drugs, sex - whatever takes their fancy. Unfortunately these subjects are treated as "taboo", making them even more enticing. If some of the mystery were taken out of the subject, and it became less rebelious to indulge, then teenagers would probably then find it boring and turn their efforts to something else.
