Question
Have you heard of these temperature scales (Rankine, Delisle, Newton, Réaumur, Rømer) before you saw this website?  Do most teachers know these yes or no?  http://temperature-scales.flippertv.com

Answer
Hello,
Thank you for your email.
I have to say, I had not heard of these temperature scales before. As to whether 'most' teachers know of them, I couldn't say. As I am a Middle School teacher in England, Science is not my specialism and so I am only fully familiar with the Science proscribed in the English National Curriculum for 5- to 16-year-olds which only mentions Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin scales for temperature. I am sure that many Science specialists are familiar with one or more of the scales you mention.
I hope that this helps in some way.
Regards
Michael
