Question
Hi there

I would like to know if there is a way that one could study spirituality and then teach it to children in a creative way in order to shape their personalities and allow them to cope with both internal forces - such as self-image issues, self-worth etc as well as external - such as family problems, peer pressure etc.
Are the two subjects even interlinked in the education system?

Thanks for any feedback.

Answer
Hi there, thanks for your question. In the public school system, teachers cannot bring any spirituality into the educational curriculum. The public school sector cannot even host prayer during the morning routines. There are too many religions in our school system and it would be impossible to make everyone happy. There is, however, character education in our public schools that offer the same types of personality issues that a spiritual curriculum would. Now if someone would like to incorporate spirituality with education, then they would need to enroll in a private or church based school.

Hope this helps.
