Question
I have a friend who is looking to teach spanish in the US, was wondering if there was a good place to start looking for a recruiter who might place her.

Thank you.

Answer
Laura,

I'm not sure if you are aware of the ways teachers are found in the US ... in my experience the teacher has to decide what district or state he/she wants to teach in and then contact schools in that region.  I've never been 'recruited' for teaching in the US.

I suggest your friend contact some state Departments of Education in states in which she would like to teach, and query what foreign language programs might be available.  She can also write to specific schools in regions in which she is interested.  She should send a resume with her query letters.
