Careers: Teaching/student behavior

Question
Do you consider that the behavior measurement is the best served by the teacher imposing the punishments, or by the teacher helping the student modify his / her own behavior? if you consider why is so?

Answer
Hey there, thanks for the quesiton.

Punishments are short term solution to the bigger underlying problem. Behavior modification is the key to long term success for children. You have to change the way they think, because most of the time, a child who misbehaves doesn't know anything else but to misbehave. I suggest reading any book by Harry Wong. He's the master!
