Question
Hello,

I am currently in the Masters of Education Program in Buffalo...and look forward to obtaining my NY state Certification and Masters in the new year.  I ultimately want to teach at a performing arts school.  Would I be able to find a job in New York, being that I am a Canadian?

Answer
Andrea,

I find it interesting that you seem to be in a university program but you are asking ME if you will be able to find a job in NY.  I should think that your advisor or the education office would be better able to tell you those things.

My assumption is that if you were trained in the US and have the proper working papers that you should be able to find a job in NY.  But, immigration officials and those who handle your visa now might be best suited to answer this question.

I would hate to steer you wrong - so please don't rely on anyone who doesn't deal with sort of thing daily.
