I don't know if your expertise extends this far, but I thought I would try. Do you know anything about whether it is possible for academics in one field to publish articles in peer reviewed journals of other fields? Must the reviewing peers be in the same field as the article's author?
I wasn't sure who else to ask. It's all right if you can't help.

Answer Hi,Tue!
I would think that yes, it's quite possible. The trick is you have to pick an article topic that will enhance the learning of the target group. If you're talking to professionals in one discipline, they'll have a high expectation in a peer journal to be told something they don't already know. If your article does that, you should have a good shot at it. You might also consider combining your specialty with the target one. For example, let's say you're an expert on concrete but want to write an article for an archaeology magazine. You could easily talk about a dig where the team is removing a concrete facade that was put on during an earlier restoration. Or some such. But yes, I've written specialty articles without a degree in that discipline, so I don't see any reason why you can't. :)
