Question
Hi, I don't know if this question is in your field, but I was wondering if, when an author decides to self publish their book, it is their responsibility to also organise their own book tours and the things that go with it? Thanks very much for your help!

Answer
Hi Liz,

Many thanks for you question.  The answer is yes.  If you self publish you will be responsible for your own promotion and anything else that you want to do.  If you self publish via Lulu.com which is free, you can take a look at the range of features that they offer.  They have maketing packages that you can pay for if you don't want to do everything yourself.  You can also purchase an ISBN from this website and you can promote your book via Amazon. This is an amazing website and well worth taking a look at if you are planning on going the self publishing route.

Hope this helps.
