Caribbean for Visitors/I need to get away

Question
I want to see something different.  I live in Dallas, TX and I a need an escape.  I have looked into cruises, but I do no know what time a year to visit.  I would hate to take a cruise only to get caught in the rain the entire time.  I am willing to travel any where, but my biggest problem is timing.  My vacation will have to begin some time after September.  I have a week to burn and I hoped to keep the traveling expenses for two as far under two thousand dollars as possible.  Does a vacation like this exist or I am dreaming?

Answer
Hi Frankie,

No, you are not dreaming :)
1st thing I need to mention is you will need passports to fly out of the U.S.
That being said, you may be able to do Aruba for around $2000. Aruba tends to be on the dry side with minimal rain.
A cruise would be your most affordable option, the Carnival Conquest departs from Galveston on 7 night cruises, it will run around $1400 for 2 adults in an ocean view cabin. Food & some non-alcoholic beverages are also included in the price.
If you can wait until early December, the chance of rain is quite limited in the caribbean.

Let me know if you have any further questions I can help you with .
