Question
Hello,

Is the Dominican Republic similar to Cuba?
Is Santo Domingo similar to Havana?

Since there is an embargo on Cuba for US citizens. Could DR be an alternative to Cuba?

Answer
Hi Mel,

Thank you for your question. I don't have any information to offer on Cuba as Americans are not allowed to sell hotels there nor visit. So unfortunately it is not a location I've researched at all.

Dominican Republic is a very popular spot and would make a great vacation location.

Sorry I don't have more information for you on Cuba.
