Caribbean for Visitors/Carribean Cruise in September

Question
We have a caribean cruise scheduled for the first week in September what kind of a weather should I expect

Answer
September is the height of hurricane season. The weather will be hot & humid. If there is a tropical system in the area, the seas may be rough. The ship may not be able to sail to a scheduled port of call to avoid a tropical storm.

Now, with all the negatives out of the way, the seas may be beautifully calm, if a tropical system has passed, you will see some amazingly beautiful sunsets!
And best of all, I bet you got a great deal on your cruise for September sailings!

I love September & October in the tropics myself! Just be prepared. Pack lightweight clothing, a rain poncho, hand-held-misting fan & have a few zip-lock bags to keep cameras, wallets, etc dry. If the seas are rough, eat very lightly, many people swear eating an apple helps with the queasiness. Try to stay in large open areas, staying in your stateroom can really bring on seasickness.

I hope this has helped somewhat!
