We will be two families of 3 holidaying in Caribbean in week after new year, each consisting of mum, dad and 16-year old daughter.  Some of us are particularly interested in scuba diving in the Turks and Caicos.  Others are happy just to snorkel or take in the sun.  We wondered about Beaches in T&C, but wonder whether it is more oriented towards smaller children.  Perhaps you can suggest another resort either here or anywhere else in the Caribbean which would be more suitable for the slightly more sophisticated youngsters and would also offer the opportunity to scuba dive, snorkel, etc.

Beaches is geared towards families & yes, younger children. However, I have had numerous clients, with teens that have raved about it!
There really is something for everyone & from you post, there will be 2- 16 year olds to keep each other company.
Beaches typically will go out of their way to make them feel special.
Another alternative is Grand Cayman, fantastic diving, snorkeling & beaches, as well as spas & such for the girls.
The great thing about Beaches, it is all-inclusive at an affordable price!
