Questionwendy how are u? names joshua. i live in CT. right now, graduated college, 28, and have a construction company. however i'm not happy, the money is good but i hate the lifestyle. i'm such an outdoor person, no shoes shirt beach person on the water. i'm looking for a place to move where possibly i could open a bar on the water, or work for one. i'm looking for a place that gets alot of action, new people, really alive with great weather. i'm not a prejudice person but i'm white and would love to be in a place where theres sum of whites. doesn't have to be totally white but a good amount. would like to be in a hot spot vacation area possibly where the celebs go to. i'm not married nor a girl, right now. if u have any ideas i would greatly appreciate your advise. hope to hear from u soon. joshua
AnswerHi Joshua,
I'm fine, thanks for asking!
Well,I don't feel I'm actually qualified to answer this question but I can give you a couple of ideas to run with ;)
Right now the Out Islands of the Bahamas are really beginning to boom. Many U.S. citizens are buying their chunk of "Paradise". It is easy access to & from the USA which makes it desirable. The favorite mode of transportation is usually golf carts and/or boats.
If I were to consider trying to open a beach bar, this is an area I would research.
Abacos may be a good fit since it has a "New England" feel to it.
The Exumas are popular with a wealthier crowd, I've heard various celebs own islands/property around there ( I don't remember WHO the celebs are though )
Also check into the numerous other Out Islands.
The Dominican Republic is also a popular party spot with many celebs that stay throughout the area. Main areas are Punta Cana, Santo Domingo & La Romana.
If you are able to financially, I would spread out various trips throughout the caribbean & do lots & lots of research!
I wish you the best of luck on living your dream!
Wendy
