Question
we are picking up a few people from ft. lauderdale airport and driving to carnival cruise to park in miami.  they are due to land at 12:50pm.  is there enough time to drive to miami port, park there, and still check in to board ship by 3:00

Answer
I am assuming your ship departs at 5pm and if this is the case, you can expect that IF YOUR FRIENDS PLANE ARRIVES ON TIME W/OUT DELAY, this is entirely possible and you can probably plan to have your guests picked up and on your way to the Miami cruise terminal by 1:30. It is approx. 45 minute drive in moderate traffic to the cruise terminal. Remember that parking is $20.00 per day and you need to have your "Fun Pass" or documents along with photo ID available for all passengers before you will be allowed to pass the port security and getting to the parking area.

Have a great time and with luck, there will be no delays in your friends arrival or this could be cutting it very close.
