Question
How much does it cost to take a taxi to Miami port to board the carnival cruise triumph and also is it a good idea to take the tri--rail from ft.lauderdale airport to Miami airport and than board a cab.  we are a group of 6 and have luggage etc and limited funds,

Lorraine, since there are 6 of you, you can't get into one cab.  I'm guessing you are flying into Ft Laud and then leaving out of Miami.  You can't do the tri rail, you'd need to take a cab to the tri rail station.

Because of the number of you, I'd stick with using Carnival transfers, since they will pick you up in Ft Laud and take you directly to the ship.  You could take the shuttle, but you can't get luggage for 6 in one.  It runs around $25 per person for that.

Be sure to do this ASAP as Carnival has limits set on how many they can accommodate.
