I do not care to bring a suit on this cruise for formal night. I wear one everyday to work and dont want to on vacation. I think formal night on a short cruise is silly. What are my options?

I AGREE with you, suits are a PITA expecially when you're wearing one to work every day.  OK, here's what I've seen:
slacks and dresshirt and tie
slacks and v neck sweater
slacks and sweater
all in the dining room

Other choice is to eat in the Lido its casual and you don't need to dress at all.

don't sweat the formal stuff, as long as you are presentable, no one cares! ESPECIALLY on a short cruise.  I think they do this so all get a "taste" of a longer cruise and a chance to show off some special foods and desserts.  Honestly, no jeans, no shorts...other than that GO FOR IT.
