Question
QUESTION: How do you get liquor in your room if they have zero tolerance for bringing your own?

ANSWER: Wine and soda are allowed when not in excess. And although I do not condone nor support bringing your own liquor, based on methods I have heard of (and do not support),it is usually done by wrapping it in bubble wrap and put in your "checked luggage" for the porters to deliver to your stateroom. This is a very touchy subject and I can only tell you what I have been told by clients or read on various cruise boards regarding "smuggling" of liquor onboard the ship !

QUESTION: I think I didnt make myself clear. I have no problem obtaining liquor from the ship stock, but Can I say..buy a bottle of Absolute for my room?

ANSWER: No.... any alcohol purchased on the ship will be kept until the last night of the cruise and delivered to your stateroom.

QUESTION: So how the heck do you get a drink on the ship? Are you telling me you cannot have any liquor in the rooms? Only in the bars?  That doesnt sound right

Answer
Simple, you go to the bar, you buy a drink and if you choose, bring it back to your stateroom. Did your travel agent not advise you of any of this ? Liquor is a large portion of cruiseline income along with shore tours, gambling, bingo, etc..... Have you visited Carnivals website to review what all is included or the policies of the cruiseline ? If not, I suggest visiting www.carnival.com
