Question
Hello! We are leaving this weekend and have two very nice Ipods. Are
they safe in the rooms or do you think they will be stolen? Is there sewer
smell in the bathrooms on board?

Answer
Hi Laura,

Some of Carnivals ships (most) now have room safes where you can put your IPODS.  Even if they don't have the safe, your stuff is safe in the room.  Remember, only a few people have access, basically your room steward and frankly, for the price of a few IPODS, however nice they are, aren't worth losing your job and livelyhood over.  I leave my very good jewelry in the safe when they have one, and in the rom in a drawer when they don't.  In 27 cruises have had nothing taken.

As to a sewer smell, of the 27 cruises, there were 2 where after day 6 we could smell a smell, not in our bathroom, but in some of the ones on deck.  I don't think that is the norm and certainly if I smelled anything in my cabin, I'd go right to the pursers desk, because that isn't normal.

Have a wonderful time, the weather shold be great, it's a good time of the year to go.
