Question
is it safe to travel the first week of oct to Bahamas cruise abort carnival cruise
or royal carribbean lines

Answer
Hi there... I am assuming you are asking about safety regarding being in Hurricane season ? If correct, there is always a chance that itineraries will be changed during this season if inclement weather surfaces during a cruise, but does not happen to often. Cruiselines will never place a passenger or their ship in harms way.

The ships will sail full as this is the time of year when rates are lower (off season thru thanksgiving). If looking at a short cruise, I would strongly urge you to consider a Carnival ship as there staterooms are much larger compared to those of the royal caribbean older ships that are used for short bahamas cruises.

Consider going out of Jacksonville Fla. aboard the Fascination (CCL) that offers a 4  or 5 night bahamas itinerary. Great port to sail from and not crowded at all ! The Baahamas is not your only choice for a 4 or 5 night cruise as several ships sailing from Florida also visit the western caribbean to Key West and Cozumel and sometimes Ocho Rios or Grand Caymen..... In my opinion a 4 or 5 night western caribbean is much more enjoyable and more to do than a bahamas cruise usually going to Nasty Nassau or Freeport !

Best of luck in your cruise selection and Happy Labor Day !
