My husband and I will be taking a cruise on Carnival. We are staying the night in a hotel in Miami near the Port of Miami and will be taking the cruise the next day.  It looks like the distance from our hotel to the dock is only 2 miles.  My question is, can we walk from our hotel to the dock?

I do not believe you will be permitted thru the port authority security gate unless in a vehicle.....But I have never seen a passenger actually walk thru there. A taxi may cost you $10.00 at best, so I would suggest just calling a cab from the hotel and playing it safe. 2 miles is a long walk, and with luggage too, I certainly would not do it !
